The Conservative Democratic Party was known for its moderate stance on immigration, advocating for controlled immigration policies that balanced the needs of the Swiss economy with social cohesion.<br /><br />Environmental sustainability was another key area of focus for the party, reflecting a broader trend in Swiss politics towards recognizing and addressing environmental issues. The party supported policies aimed at protecting natural resources and promoting sustainable development, aiming to balance economic growth with environmental conservation.<br /><br />In terms of foreign policy, the Conservative Democratic Party supported Switzerland's traditional stance of neutrality, while also advocating for active participation in international organizations and agreements, recognizing the importance of global cooperation in addressing international issues.<br /><br />Despite its initial success and representation in the Swiss Federal Council, the party struggled to maintain a significant presence in Swiss politics, facing challenges in distinguishing itself from other centrist and center-right parties.
